Java@Cork is now a regular event on the developers' calendar and this year the conference has been extended to a full-day event. The line up features a mix of local it@cork members and international speakers, including Sun Microsystems' UK based Technology Evangelist Simon Ritter whose session will look at JavaFX, what the technology really is, the new compiler and tools available in the SDK and how to get started building applications. Simon will also talk about the forthcoming Java SE 6 update 10 release of the JDK and JRE which includes some exciting new developments for simplifying the deployment of the Java environment to large numbers of desktops.

The conference is next Tuesday 9th September at the Radisson SAS hotel in Cork.
